Jake's Famous Crawfish Restaurant

Jake's is my favorite restaurant in Portland, especially if you like oysters. One night, Guy Steele, Jerome Chailloux, and I finished off all their oysters in one sitting—of course (I hope), other people had been dwindling the supply before us and while we were eating.

But, they have all sorts of seafood.

You'll need a reservation (or you can go to Jake's Grill Restaurant which is about 4 blocks away and serves basically the same menu).

How to Get There

Lazy Man's Route

• Hop on the MAX and take it to the Galleria/SW 10th Avenue stop.
• Take the streetcar north to Stark Street (the stop is at the Mark Spencer Hotel, which is right before Stark).
• Go west on Stark for 2 blocks and it'll be on your left.

How rpg Gets There

• Hop on the MAX and take it to the Galleria/SW 10th Avenue stop.
• Walk west on Morrison (the street the MAX is on) 2 blocks to 12th Avenue.
• Go north on 12th for 3 long blocks to Stark, and Jake's will be on your left (you'll walk within a couple of blocks of Jake's Grill).
